Though blogging is the most chosen way to make constant revenue online, there are some aspects which makes Youtube a source to make money in a more easier way.

Youtube is a big ocean of visitors, who spend their hours of time watching videos. There are tonnes of people around the world who are making their full time income spending only a couple of hours a day uploading videos to Youtube. Charlie's father may not have dreamt that he would make millions with a casually uploaded video. Now Charlie bit my finger isn't just a video, its a phenomenon. So what are you waiting for, go grab a camera and start shooting awesome things around you!
So, What exactly are we doing in this tutorial to make money?
In this tutorial, we'll be creating a new Gmail account (Later I'll tell you why) for Youtube channel. Create a nice set of videos which attracts people, get targeted number of views to our youtube video by doing some SEO. Once we start getting decent amount of visitors to our youtube channel, we'll be converting that traffic to revenue using short links. The procedure is quite simple yet it requires time and patience to start generating revenue.

What are Link Shorteners and how to use them?
URL Shortening is a process of converting your long links to shorter and earn money when a targeted number of visitors open the shortened link, view the advertisement for 5 seconds and the skip to the Original URL behind the short link. Usually URL shortening sites pay upto 3$ - 5$ per 1000 visitors to your short links. The payout depends on the country the traffic you are getting from.
How much Can I Earn with Short Links?
There are many ways to make money from Youtube videos out of which youtube partnetship, Adsense, affiliate marketing are the most popular. But all of these to work, your youtube channel should have thousands of subscribers, likes and millions of views, which is literally impossible for a beginner with zero investment. Moreover, this takes more than 6 months to work. But what if your channel gets barely 500 views a day? Well, keeping all these factors in mind and all my beginner friends, I suggest you to use short links which convert your every video view into revenue. With this strategy, you can make some pocket money the very first day itself!
Step #1: Creating a Gmail Account
This may sound silly but I suggest you to create a new Gmail account and use it solely for Youtube Channel. You're probably aware of creating a Gmail account, so I will not be explaining it here.
Step #2: Linking Gmail Account with Youtube
Once you have created a separate Gmail account for youtube, login to youtube and you'll be asked to choose a display name for your Youtube channel. Take time and think of a catchy name, it should be simple to remember yet unique. This is the step where most of the people go wrong, they simply neglect the display name and channel display picture. Though Youtube ranks its videos according to the content in them, statistics show that youtube channels with a nice catchy name and display picture seems more legit to the visitors.
Once you have successfully created a Youtube channel, head over to shorte.st and create an account there.
Step #3: Creating an account at Shorte.st
The very next thing you have to do after creating and setting up your youtube channel is to create an account at shorte.st, my recommended URL shortening site. The reason why I choose shorte.st is that its payout is higher when compared to Adf.ly and bit.ly. Moreover, the total number of traffic you get your shortened link will not be converted to revenue in Adf.ly and bit.ly.
Head over to Shorte.st from here, create a fresh account using Gmail or facebook, fill up your details and start shortening links.
What next? The real trick starts here:
Don't get scared looking at the 1000 figure visitors which you have to get everyday to make just 4-5$. Here starts the real trick, if you go through Terms and Conditions of link shortening sites, you'll see a bullet point that says, only five link visits are considered from a single IP address. That means one cannot trick link shortening sites just by opening the same short link from the same system or laptop several number of times. So, instead of taking this as a con, let's take advantage of this limitation.
Let's say you are getting 500 views for your youtube video everyday. If every visitor you get opens only one short link of yours, you get only 1.5$ or 2$. But your target is to make 10$ a day. So you should take advantage of every visitor and his IP address.
For this, upload a video that has a huge file to download, like around 1GB. Before making the video, create an archive of that file and divide it into 5 zip files. Upload all of them to your Google drive and get a shareable link for each zip file. Now shorten all the five links using your shorte.st account.
Step #4: Creating a video
Now create a video demonstration of the software or game for which you are providing the download links, using video editors. I personally use Camtasia and Windows movie maker to create and edit videos. I mostly prefer screen recorded videos while searching for tutorials and so do people. So, whatever the video you upload, it should be unique and genuine. People believe in things when you show them the working proof in videos.
Step #5: Adding a Title and Relevent Description
When you are done with creating the video, add a catchy title and relevant description to the video. Video Title matters a lot when uploading a video to Youtube. The more catchy the title the more audience your youtube video gets. Now add the five shortened links to the video description naming them "Download by parts". Now whenever an user visits your video, they need to open all the shortened links in order to download the complete file. So in this way you can take advantage of every single visitor to your youtube video and convert them to money.
Step #6: Publish the Video and Start Making Money
When everything's ready, publish the video and share it in all the social networking sites. It may take some time for your video to get indexed by youtube. Once your video is indexed, it starts getting views. All the views you get to your video will be converted to revenue using the short links which we have placed in the description.
So if you get 500 visitors a day who clicks 5 short links of yours, then
500 x 5 = 2500 views = 10$-11$ a day!
Everything's good, how do I get views?
There are some guru tips that can drive more traffic your video.
- Find a similar video as yours having good amount of traffic and post a comment regarding your video and link to your video.
- Make your friends like and reply for your comment so that it shoots to top comments.
- So the people who read the comments visits your video to check it out!
If you are getting too low views for your video, try creating 10 more videos of the same category and upload them to youtube.
Some DO's and DON'T's:
- Never try to get fake views and likes to your video. Youtube is not a fool, it bans your account.
- Try to SEO your video as much as possible, you video should rank first for that particular set of keywords.
- Don't disable comments for your video, even if you get bad comments. Get used to them.
